Tamagawa josui Water Supply traverses Fussa City. There are two divisional water sources (Tamura watershed and Kumagawa watershed) which have been utilized as a source of power for water mills, service water for rural areas, and for individual daily use. The two water ways and their greenery make for indispensable scenery in Fussa City. They are both registered as designated cultural assets of the city. In the vicinity of the Ome Bashi bridge, the Fussa Hotaru Matsuri festival (Fussa Fire fly festival) is held annually. There you can see the fantastic sights of the “Genji Hotaru (Genji fire fly)” that is the traditional defender of this area.
