Right next to the bus stop famous for its weeping cherry blossoms Enjoy authentic coffee at 「Sabō Henbori」
With the wish to create a place where their hearing-impaired daughter could work, owner Yoshiharu Nakata and his family moved to the area. They renovated a traditional folk house into a café with a nostalgic Shōwa-era atmosphere, opening at the end of January 2014.
Inside the café, background music composed by popular keyboardist Tetsuya Hirahata—created with the image of Hinohara Village in mind—gently fills the space. Guests can enjoy hand-drip coffee brewed with Hinohara’s clear spring water, cold-brew iced coffee extracted slowly over more than half a day, and seasonal cakes handmade by the owner’s wife and daughter.
