A brewery complex you can enjoy all day A leading sake brewery of the Tama area 「Ozawa Brewery」
Founded in Genroku 15 (1702), Ozawa Brewery is a long-established sake producer in Sawai, Ome City, best known for its flagship brand 「Sawanoi」. Surrounded by the lush natural environment of Okutama, the brewery uses pure brewing water that springs from caves carved deep into the ancient Chichibu Paleozoic rock layers, along with carefully selected rice. The sake produced here is widely loved by enthusiasts and enjoyed at liquor stores and restaurants across Japan.
Within the grounds are the shop and light dining spot 「Seiryu Garden Sawanoi-en」, a 「Sake Tasting Corner」 where you can sample Sawanoi sake, and restaurants 「Mamagotoya」 and 「Tōraku」, which serve tofu and yuba made using the same brewing water. Brewery tours that include sake tasting and an original sake cup are also available by online reservation on all days except Mondays (paid). This is a must-visit destination when traveling along the JR Ome Line.
