Enjoy craft beer and a brewery tour right by Okutama Station 「VERTERE」
With a taproom located directly in front of Okutama Station and a brewery that relocated and reopened in 2024 just a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride away, VERTERE has become a leading presence in Japan’s craft beer culture. In its 11 years since opening, the brewery has grown to produce around 200 different beers and approximately 180,000 liters annually.
At the brewery, guided tours are offered on weekends by reservation. Meanwhile, the original main taproom, housed in a renovated traditional house along Yanagi Koji Yokocho and just a one-minute walk from Okutama Station, is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 19:30. Carefully crafted food that pairs well with the beers is also available. Whether visiting with the taproom as your destination or coming for a brewery tour, VERTERE has become a new landmark in the Okutama area.
