Located at the foot of Mt. Takao, Mt. TAKAO BASE CAMP is a stylish and well-equipped facility designed for people who want to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and trail running. True to its name, it serves as a “base camp” for exploring the area. On the first floor, there is a café and bar along with washrooms, shower booths, and lockers, and the facilities are available from early morning.
The second floor is a mountain lodge–style guesthouse featuring bunk beds. There is one 10-person dormitory, four 4-person dormitory rooms, and two family rooms with private water facilities, offering affordable accommodation options.
The facility also offers outdoor gear rentals and hosts a variety of events, including outdoor sports activities, nature observation, and special experiences such as night view and sunrise viewing.
Another highlight is the café and bar, which has a wide-ranging menu. In addition to coffee, sweets, hamburgers, and spicy curry, visitors can enjoy dishes made with fresh locally sourced ingredients.
