This day-use hot spring facility is located just steps from Keio Line Takaosanguchi Station. The baths are fed by the natural “Keio Takaosan Onsen,” a spring that rises from about 1,000 meters underground. The water is an alkaline simple hot spring, believed to help relieve muscle pain, joint pain, and sensitivity to cold. It is also known as a “beauty bath” for its skin-smoothing qualities, making it a popular stop for many hikers.
The indoor bathing area includes a rotating themed bath and a sauna. In the outdoor bathing zone, you will find an open-air carbonated stone bath, a rock bath, and a seated bath. From the outdoor baths you can enjoy beautiful views while relaxing in the open air.
The restaurant offers both tatami seating and table seating, with a menu that includes classic dishes, seasonal options, and banquet meals. Their specialty is the famous tororo soba (soba noodles topped with grated yam). On weekdays, there is also a private tatami room available for exclusive use by families or groups of friends. Other facilities include a nap area and a body-care relaxation space. After your Mt. Takao hike, take a moment to relax and refresh here before heading home.
