Located in the Otaba settlement along the Otaba River, a tributary of the Tama River in Okutama Town, north of JR Ome Line 「Kawai Station」, this popular kamameshi restaurant offers a truly local dining experience. Signature offerings include the 「Kamameshi Set」, featuring mushroom kamameshi, mountain vegetable okowa, or eel kamameshi, served with mizutaki hot pot, pickles, sashimi-style konnyaku, and a small sweet. Seasonal sets are also available, with bamboo shoots in spring and chestnuts in autumn.

The restaurant is housed in the owner’s family home, where they were born and raised. While enjoying views of the garden that changes with the seasons, guests can savor river fish dishes, set meals, and à la carte items made with natural ingredients from Otaba, such as freshly grated wasabi, handmade sashimi konnyaku, yamame, iwana, ayu, and wild mountain vegetables.

Terrace seating is available, allowing guests to dine while taking in both the interior atmosphere and the surrounding scenery. In addition to takeout, products can also be purchased online as gifts. As weekends tend to be busy, visiting a little earlier is recommended.
