Italian & French Regional Cuisine Kodaira City – Bistoria Kodaira

A casual Italian & French bistro serving game meat operated by a food import wholesaler.

Bistoria Kodaira is a cozy bistro where you can enjoy authentic Italian and French regional dishes, located in Kodaira City, Tokyo. The restaurant is run by KAWAKAMI, a food wholesaler based in the wholesale market in Higashikurume City, that provides imported ingredients to restaurants throughout Tokyo and Saitama. The name “Bistoria” is a blend of the French term “Bistro” and the Italian “Trattoria,” both of which refer to casual, traditional eateries.
The interior, with plenty of depth, features around 20 comfortable table seats arranged in a spacious layout, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while watching the open kitchen at work, adding a lively atmosphere to the dining experience. The menu offers a variety of regional Italian and French dishes, such as “Pottachio” (white wine-braised meat) and “Salsiccia” (Italian sausage) from the Marche region of Italy, “Arancini” (rice croquettes) from Naples, and French “Pâté de Campagne”. The restaurant also features game meat options like hare and venison among the main meat dishes.
Whether you’re visiting for lunch or dinner, the menu remains the same, ensuring that you can enjoy a satisfying meal at any time of day. It’s especially perfect for those looking for a fulfilling lunch or those who enjoy day drinking.

Day Drinking Welcomed! Same Menu for Both Lunch and Dinner

A popular set menu includes a drink to toast, such as wine or draft beer, along with a selection of dishes including a salad and antipasto platter + a choice of pasta or pizza for the main course, all for just ¥2,600 (tax included)—incredibly affordable. For an additional ¥600, you can also add a second main dish to your meal.
Moreover, the “Wine Carnival!” all-you-can-drink house wine course (¥2,600, tax included) is available for up to 4 hours, offering great value and flexibility for any group size or menu preferences.
The wine list features a wide range of Italian bottles, from rare indigenous Italian varieties to trendy natural wines, with bottles starting at just ¥4,000, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of Italian wines at reasonable prices.
In addition to the Kodaira location, Bistoria also operates a sister restaurant specializing in Italian regional cuisine and game meat in Tokorozawa, Saitama. Moreover, they have launched Kawakami Mercato, a specialty wine and food store focused on Italian wines, located inside the wholesale market in Higashikurume.
