The Kozukue House is the oldest Japanese-Western style residence in the Itsukaichi area. It was built around 1875 by the Kozukue family, who made their fortune in the forestry business in the late Edo period. The seventh head of the family, Sanzaemon Kozukue, was greatly inspired by the Western-style architecture of Ginza Bricktown during the Meiji era (1868-1912), and is said to have imitated the Western-style colonnade and second-floor balcony in building the house.
In this special space created by the “Kozukue House,” a tangible cultural property designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and an old private house, you can enjoy French cuisine that uses a variety of “Tokyo” ingredients.
L’Arbre is a restaurant that aims to bring the richness and deliciousness of Tokyo ingredients to as many people as possible, and to connect the culture of this important region to the future.
L’Arbre opened in August 2023 with the theme of “French cuisine x climate x culture” as a restaurant that will allow diners to experience the charm of a new Tokyo.
