Murayama Reservoir commonly known as “Lake Tama,” located in Higashiyamato City, is a man-made lake that, along with Lake Okutama and Lake Sayama, is known as “the water jug of the city populace.” This lake, chosen as one of the Shin Tokyo Hyakkei: One Hundred Views of the New Tokyo, offers beautiful scenery in all four seasons including cherry trees and fall colors. It has become a favorite relaxation spot for many people.
